Diego Alonso (Principle Guitar Instructor, Coach, & Director)
Diego Alonso (www.DiegoAlonsoMusic.com) teaches Spanish, Flamenco, Flamenco Jazz, Classical, and Latin-Jazz for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
Diego Alonso has taught and coached over 10,000 one-on-one lessons and has given lectures and workshops in over 500 schools nationally and internationally. He graduated with highest honors in Flamenco Guitar Performance from the Fundación Cristina Heeren de Arte Flamenco (Seville, Spain) and is currently (2019) working on his Masters Degree in Flamencology (Musicology/Ethnomusicology & Pedagogy in Flamenco) at the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona Spain). While Spain Diego studied extensively with Pedro Sierra, Niño de Pura, Paco Cortes, Eduardo Rebollar, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Tino Van Der Sman, Javi Gomes, and Pepa Sanchez.
Diego Alonso also has a background in classical guitar (Peter Aglinskas, Denis Azabagic) and jazz theory (John Moulder, David Bloom) and incorporates these genres into his playing, composing, and teaching. As a coach, Diego will analyze your technique and musical expression. He uses research based skill development techniques and time-tested pedagogical strategies to make sure your practice approach and execution are as effective as possible.
Throughout his 17 year professional career he has composed and shared the stage, nationally and internationally, with many prominent musicians including Miguel Vargas (flamenco dance), Ale el Cano (flamenco voice), Rocío Márquez (flamenco voice), Jorge Pérez (flamenco percussion), Ronnie Malley (Oud & Vocals), Chihsuan Yang (violin), Alfonso Cid (flamenco voice), Darwin Noguera (jazz piano), Victor Garcia (jazz trumpet), Alberto Sellés (flamenco dance), Alvaro Gonzalez (flamenco vocals), Vicente Griego (flamenco voice), Fulcrum Point New Music Project, and many others.

Carlo (M.A. Classical Guitar + Flamenco) - Chicago, IL
Carlo teaches classical, flamenco, rock, and world gutiar. He has a Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Northeastern Illinois University where he studied for 7 years with Anne Waller (head of the Northwestern University guitar program). He also studied flamenco in Andalusia with guitarists Luis Ruiz, Jose Luis Rodriguez, and Flavio Rodriguez. Additionally, Carlo has visited over 30 countries to perform, teach, and study ethnic music.
Daniel (M.A. Classical Guitar + Latin Guitar)
Daniel teaches classical and Latin American music. He has a Bachelor Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Northeastern University where he studied with Dr. Brian Torosian and a Master Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from DePaul University where he graduated with distinction. He has been teaching and performing in Chicago since 2006. Daniel teaches in Waukegan, Jefferson Park (Chicago), and Online.
David (B.A. Classical Guitar + Flamenco) - Chicago, IL
David teaches classical, flamenco, and rock guitar. He has a Bachelor's degree in classical guitar performance from Northeastern Illinois University, under the instruction of Dr. Brian Torosian, and has been playing guitar professionally for over 15 years. He has attended workshops along with private studies in Granada, Madrid, and Seville(Spain) to further his ability and knowledge of the flamenco guitar.
Jerry (B.A. Jazz & Classical Guitar) - Chicago, IL
Jerry teaches jazz, blues, classical and rock styles focusing on guiding students towards building a working knowledge of fretboard harmony and developing the ear through transcribing the work of great artists. He has a Bachelor’s degree in classical guitar performance from Metro State University of Denver and has developed his teaching and playing style over the last 20 years through his private studies with classical guitarists Ricardo Iznaola, Fred Hand, Alex Komodore, Jerry Willard, and jazz guitarists Gene Bertoncini, Dale Bruning, Jack Wilkins and Rich Boukas.
John Moulder (M.A. Jazz Guitar) - Chicago, IL
John Moulder teaches advanced jazz guitar in Chicago, IL. He received his Masters degree in music from Northwestern University. As an educator, he is currently a faculty member at Northwestern University, Benedictine University and the College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. He has lectured, taught master classes, and conducted clinics at universities, high schools, music institutes and other settings. John's playing and recordings have been featured in the Made in Chicago concert series in Millennium Park and 2 of his CDs are included in the Tribune's ten best jazz CDs of 2006 and 2009.
Julie (Ph.D Classical Guitar) - Chicago, IL
Julie teaches advanced classical gutiar. She is the first guitarist to receive a Doctorate in Music Performance from Northwestern University, and also holds degrees from the Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University and College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Julie was named Guitarist of the year by Classical Guitar Alive, internationally-broadcast radio program. She is a dynamic performer and techer whose concerts win critical acclaim throughout the U.S.
